The 3-day Chisapani Nagarkot trekking, which starts right in the Kathmandu Valley, gives you a taste of traditional Nepali village life, beautiful forests, the ancient Changu Narayan temple and great views of the Himalayan mountains. It's ideal for people who are short on time or who want to fit in additional, non-trekking activities during their visit to Nepal, such as Chitwan National Park or seeing other cities.
The Chisapani Nagarkot trekking begins from Sundarijal, a watershed area in the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. Chisapani is the first day's destination, which is a beautiful traditional ethnic village. The next day we go to Nagarkot, which offers one of the best viewpoints of the eastern Himalayan range. On our third day of trekking, we reach Changu Narayan, an ancient, richly decorated temple that was built in 323 AD. We're then transferred back to Kathmandu, where we enjoy a farewell dinner.
