We begin our Mt. Everest Trek Package with a cultural and historical visit to UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley. We do some preparations for our trip. The next morning, we catch a short and scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu airport. It is 35 minutes flight to the most dangerous airport in the world, Lukla airport. And one more considerable thing about Lukla airport is that the Lukla flights sometimes are either postponed or canceled due to bad weather. So, the trekkers are suggested to have some spare days if they are making their trip to Everest Region.
From Lukla, we begin our trekking down to Phakding with your equipped team. The team will assist you in many ways during the trip. Via Manjo and Jorsalle, we enter into Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. While getting Namche Bazaar, we have to face steep hill all the way up. It is somehow challenging to the trekkers.
Being the capital of Khumbu Region, Namche is famous as both tourist and trade hub. Then, what to enjoy at Namche? The answer is very simple. We enjoy the Tibetan market, Sherpa Cultural Museum, Hotel Everest View and also some mountain views like Thamserku. Trekkers normally have acclimatization spending one spare day at Namche in order to adjust in new elevation.
We trek further to Tengboche the next day. Tengboche monastery and its calm surrounding with lush forest offer us an astounding experience here. It is a really peaceful place to relax. Now, we head to Gorkahshep passing through Periche and Lobuche. We spend the night at Gorak Shep and climb Kalapatthar the next morning. Kalapatthar is normally windy and cold. We spend a few minutes to witness breathtaking views of giants peaks including Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori and Mt. Everest. Further, we trek to Everest Base Camp and view some more astounding peaks.
