Day to day activities of the Manaslu Circuit Trek

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu, our representative will greet you with the Nepali culture and transfer you to your hotel. You will be welcome by a non-alcoholic welcome drink. Take a rest, enjoy the hot/cold shower.

Day 03: Drive to Soti Khola

After having the early breakfast and driving on the Prithivi Highway form the Kathmandu is very breathtaking, you will cross the several green hills and scattered villages and valley, enjoying the fast-flowing beautiful river views of the Trishul river. After 2-3 hours drive, you will react at Dhading Besi- the District headquarter. From here you will be driving to the Arughatwhere the road is quite rough, you will experience the up and down. After crossing the dense forest you will hike the ridge of the Budhi Gandaki on the way to the Living which is at the altitude of 750 meters. Day 05: Machhakhola to Jagat

After spending one-night t Machhakhola, early morning with the morning breakfast, we will head to one of the most beautiful views of Manalsu region-Jagat. Today we will continue our journey by ascending/hiking through the gorge p the rivers. Enjoy the views of the terrains and the Hilly landscapes, you will cross the taro Khola which flows in a rocky cavetto reaching the Khola Besi. Day 06: Jagat to Deng

Today, we will trek to the hilly village of the Deng, the trail is very beautiful by the stunning landscapes, dense sub-tropical forest, and the small villages. During the adventure walk, you will also climb to the ridge heading to the Saller-Salleri is the beautiful village of the route and also famous rest spots, from here crossing the Sirdibas you will continue to the Ghatta Khola. Chasing the trail through the millet field you will reach to the Ekle Bhatti, heading to the Budhi Gandaki river you will finally reach Deng.

Day 07: Deng to Namrung

Today, we will begin our walk crossing the Buddhi Gandaki River. During the hiking, we will encounter the Manaslu Conservation area. Manaslu Conservation Area is the home of the 33 species of the mammals including some rare animals like Snow-leopard, Musk Deer and Himalayan Thar.

There are over the 110 species of the birds and three species of the reptiles and you will also see more 1500-2000 species of the flowering plants. From here you will also see the snow-capped mountains including Mt Sarang Himal (7161 meters) and you will cross many dense forests of sal, oak-covered with the blooms rhododendrons leads to the Namrung.

Day 08: Namrung to Samagaon

Today, you will hike towards the altitude over the 3000 meters. Today you will hike the hilltops to enjoy the majestic views of the Ganesh Himal (7422meters) and HImchuli (7863 meters). Ascending forward crossing the several passes. Walking through the dense forest of bamboo and oak-covered with the blooms rhododendrons, hiking down to the Lho through the prayer flags and stone cranes continuing to Shayla. After crossing these you will reach the Samagaon.

Day 09: Rest and acclimatization day

Day 10: Samagaon to Samdo

After having the early breakfast you will head towards the Larkya bazaar- which is a famous Tibetan trading place in very ancient times. You will also experience the up and down hike on today's trekking downwards to the Budhi Gandaki and reach to the larky glacier. The continuous walking towards the Salla Khola leads you to the Dharmasala. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Larkya la Pass and its amazing base camp.

Day 12:Larke Base Camp to Larkya Pass (5160m) to Bimthang

Early in the morning after having the morning breakfast, we cross the Larkya la Pass (5160 meters). Larkya le pass is the highest altitude of the trek and also an attractive viewpoint to enjoy the surrounding views of the majestic mountains. Today you will walk pretty long hours enjoy the views of the world's largest mountains. The trekking journey begins with a steep ascending towards the northern end of the Larkya glacier.

The trekking trail gets steeper and steeper with the increasing altitudes, benignly after a long hike, you will reach to the Larkya La Pass. The views of the Mt Manaslu (8163 meters), Ngadi Chuli (7871 meters), Samdo (6335 meters) and other un-named, as well as countless peak over the (6500 meters), are easily views which are magnificent. Cost for the permit

The Manaslu region is a beautiful conservation area in Nepal and also lies within the restricted region in Nepal. so to trek in this region, you will need an authorized permit.

Therefore, there are necessarily three permits that you need to receive and forth permit is if you plan to trek the Tsum Valley.

Manaslu restricted permit

The Manaslu restricted permit is the very special permit and necessary permits which are issued dor this region. Depending on the number of the days you will spend in this region, which you will pay accordingly.

The cost of the permits is different if you trek in a different season. As if you plan to trek in pick season like September, October and November you have to pay more but if you trek in December, January, February, august then you have to pay less compared to this season.

Best Time to trek Manaslu Circuit Trek itinerary

Late December to Early March

The cold time of the yers. The cold you will feel during the trek will be balanced by the sight of the beautiful screen of the frozen waterfalls and the rivers. However while hiking in the high altitude above the beautiful village of Namrung, you will have to trek on the snow-covered trail and which makes too risky to reach to the Manaslu base camp. the way to the Larkya La Pass is closed in this season due to the high snow level and also due to the cold and winter season, the lodges at the high altitude like Dharmasala remain closed. But the days are pretty clear and good too.

trekking in this time needs the proper trekking training, should carry the proper technical gears and all the equipment need to trek in these periods. Trekking in this time is best suited to those who are extreme adventure lovers and with extra stamina and some experience better-using snow and ice gear.

March to Late may

From this time, the spring season begins where the rhododendrons start to blooms and Birendra lakes are starting to melt. Villagers who had done to the lower altitude of nearby cities for the winter slowly return to this home and during the mid-may, you will see the climbers and their expeditions around the Manaslu base camp. being quite near to the winter season you will experience the occasional snowfalls but during the mid-may, it is very hot at the starting and the ending of the trek so be well prepared for it.

Make sure to carry all the necessary gears and the equipment and also you don't need to carry the snow-gear as any snowfalls will not last longs.

June to Mid-September

But in the rainy season, mosquitoes and the bugs are all around and also walking in the dense forest means you should be aware of the leeches which are not serious but also not pleasant. The trail will be slippery and during the walk, you will see many small streams will have grown which is not possible to cross by the smaller wooden bridges so it may have to give more effort to walk to the higher suspension bridges. But the great effort takes you to the beauty of the trek.

Note:

while trekking in this season you should take little more care on the slippery trail. June, July, and August are the months where you will experience the largest amount of rains.

Mid-September to Mid December

Mid-September to Mid December falls in the autumn season which is the most peak season to trek in Nepal and also the best time to trek in Manaslu. But all the price of the restricted permit of the region also goes up in this season.

The temperature is neither too hot and nor too cold, the weather is also pretty goods as the sky is blue and the views of the snow-capped mountains are also perfectly clear. It is also the best time to climb the Larke Peak. This periods of the time attract many visitors and trekker because of the clear and the beautiful day. So you will see many trekkers on the trail.

Note:

Being quite near to the winter season, from late November the morning and night is too cold. So make sure to carry the winter jackets and all the necessary gears and equipment for the trek.
